718 mold steel (Chinese brand 3Cr2NiMo ) is an improved steel grade on P20 (3Cr2Mo) . It has great improvements in quality, making it fill the shortcomings of P20 mold steel and meet the requirements of P20 mold steel. It is a high-quality steel, belonging to P20+Ni. Due to the increase in Ni, it is easier to quench and has better toughness than P20. Used to make molds with higher requirements than P20.
